Special Edition available at Paul Smith

One of my new works Earth, Aether, Light, 2024 is part of the group exhibition Fair May at Paul Smith with Hi Noon Editions. This work is a two part layered collage made in the darkroom on silver gelatine positive paper.

Images come into being through spending time in the darkroom with different materials. Through the process of transformation, solid becomes liquid, unseen currents move through a sieve and leave a shimmer on the surface. This act of change mirrors the ritual of distillation, akin to alchemy or analogue photography where raw materials through energy (heat and light) are transmuted into new forms.
